Friday, November 16 2007 @ 03:57 PM CST
Kansas City, Nov. 16, 2007
Last night, 8th and Broadway was lit up by the Grand Opening party for MRP’s Fountains Lofts. Guests were greeted by live music from the Dan Doran Band, as well as beverages and appetizers from JP’s Wine Bar and 7Seven Restaurant. To their surprise, guests were handed a card worth 10 percent off the cost of any unit purchased by mid-January. “The feedback we are getting couldn’t be better,” says Bennett. “People are surprised by the views as well as the solid, historic feel of the building.” The stone and heavy timber building was originally constructed in 1903 for a pharmaceutical wholesaler and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Brian Reilly of Embassy Properties, Inc., managers of the building, reinforces the added value of the location. “Given that the Fountains Lofts project is located within an established, historic neighborhood, buyer values are held a lot stronger than those of condominiums located in suburban or non-historic building developments, he says. “That’s really important for people here,” Reilly continues. “It’s like a classic car — it gets more and more valuable as the years go on.” SoHo Lofts: Urban attractions within walking distance
